The Academy Awards are a long
withstanding American tradition. They
began in 1928, an economically diffi -
cult period for most Americans, and will
be shown for the 81st time on February
22nd of this year, an equally unstable
period. This similarity highlights the
special meaning the Awards has for
America--it is a 3-hour show in which
Americans can forget their troubles and
indulge themselves in the artistic craft
of fi lms and review the best cinematic
products of the previous year. Warning:
reviews contain spoilers. |

by today’s high schoolers. Unless a parent
chooses to chaperone one of these dances,

Wilson as, “A boy standing behind a girl
and humping her as if they were dogs
in heat.” Critics call it sex with clothes
on, the web calls it “freak dancing” or
“grinding”, but today’s teens just call it
dancing. This type of dancing has been
going on for years, and it seems to be this
generation’s dance of choice. |

Social studies teacher Kevin Alvord

his classroom. Within the fi rst semester
of this school year, six of the teachers

School have had at least one classroom
break-in. All of them have reported stolen

When they sing
