Oversized classes have always been a problem in public high schools. But it seems that as of late, class sizes have gotten ridiculously large. The newspaper room barely has enough desks for the staff. English classes are almost all full, many math classes have over 45 students, and students in Mr. Gavitte’s fifth period PSU world civilizations class have to get there early just for a desk.

How many handouts did teachers at
Grant pass out last year? Well, it turns
out that they must have been passing out
quite a few. According to official purchasing
records, last school year Grant High
School purchased a whopping 2.2 million
sheets of plain white copy paper (that’s 22
thousand pounds of paper, two and two
thirds reams per student, and 50 reams
per teacher).
