For those of you who didn't hear about it, which may be many of you, Earth Hour happened over spring break. Across the globe on March 29, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. people turned their lights out as a statement and action promoting energy awareness and conservationism, hence the name Earth Hour. Students in Don Gavitte's 6th period philosophy class on March 20 were shocked to discover that the face of Jesus Christ had appeared, in a glorious chalk portrait, on the back of Gavitte's jacket.

Students report that Gavitte had been addressing his class for about 15 minutes, with his back against his chalkboard. When he turned around to write something on the board, the face of Jesus Christ was clearly outlined on his jacket. "I took my jacket off and BOOM! There it was. Jesus' face, on my jacket, mmkay?" said Gavitte. Gavitte and his students were so shocked by the event that everyone sat in awe for about three minutes, before Gavitte quietly whispered, "Woah." Some students claim they saw light emitting from the jacket as well, although this is currently under dispute.
