It is the end of the year; seniors are counting down the days until they will step out of Grant High School for the last time. It is at this time every year that rumors begin to circulate about what the senior class is going to do for its senior prank. In the past few years each class has beat out the previous class for the title of most destructive and disgusting prank. Not only have recent pranks played by the senior class been tacky, but they have also cost their class coffers, their school, and their district quite a bit of money, and it’s no secret right now that there just is no money to spare. The administration has continuously voiced its concern over the destruction caused by senior pranks, and hope that this year’s senior class can make a responsible decision. Last year’s prank consisted of students vandalizing and spraying graffiti all over the school, which was neither clever nor funny. As a whole, the pranks of the past few years have not been funny or classy. Can this class of seniors be remembered for years to come, or will they end up acting out of desperation at the last moment? So class of '09, don't do anything that would make you miss out on graduation or pay hefty fines. Remember the last day is the day of the Junior Rose Festival Parade, so don't give GHS a black eye in front of the entire city. We shouldn't have to say avoid graffiti, mice, insects, superglue, animal feces, and property damage, but apparently we need to say that. Make us proud. |
