Erica Achziger: Mr. Golden because he challenged me and was an excellent teacher

Karl Acker Jr.: Bill Griff strength and conditioning - nuff said

Chelsea Actkinson: Golden’s freshman English class, because he taught me more than just how to write a good paper, he taught me how to survive high school.

Hannah Anderson-Dana: Dr. Dreyer, Judi, Mr. G, Madame Pallier, Mrs. Cotton, and Trisha for how educational and fun their classes were.

Haley Atkinson: Dreyer for his reading of “Ghosty,” and Wilson for the Hawaiian shirts.

Taylor Bailey: Physics and TA for Walt Hollands because I love impressionist drawings and math magic.

Clara Baker: Mr. Winn for being awesome; Ms. Shea for patience; Ms. Todd for guidance, support, and all of life’s lessons; Lane for good humor; Stemler for a love of Spanish & verb songs.

Patrick Bauer: Mr. Wilson because he somehow made AP Chemistry fun.

Marie Bello: I retained more from G’s philosophy class than any other I’ve taken at Grant.

Sam Bendinelli: Gavitte, Dreyer, Cooper, and Williamson, for their humor, dedication to students, and down-to-Earth personalities.

Nick Berzl: AP Studio Art, because I met Nicholas Norman.

Tim Birnbaum: Ms. Lanzas because she is a straight BOSS.

Celine Bledsoe: Pallier- best mama ever, Navi for always coming into my work, Zartler- because he’s dank and knows it.

Roy Bourgazas: 1st year latin with Halden freshman year.

Trevor Brandon: A 3-way tie between Anne Burton, Matt Kabza, and Geoff Henderson.

Mary Brant: Dr. Dreyer, Mrs. Cooper, Mr. Tucker.

Tim Cagle: Stemler, because she was chill.

Jeff Cervantez: Mr. Winn (a man of impeccable character), for teaching me valuable life lessons & Mr. Anderson, for teaching me why dudes you know what.

Dylan Christiansen: Sophomore year English with Ms. Wallace, without which Macbeth would not exist.

Meredith V. Comnes: Navi for her cool style, Hollands for his enchanting nature, Dreyer for his inspirational life, Cotton for his laughter and Winn for wisdom.

Zach Cowan: Barron because he is awesome.

Charles Crabtree: Brick Street. The man is just so chill. He doesn’t even have to discipline his class. They just obey.

Jeanna Craig: Gavitte- Philosophy, no class has ever been as interesting as this one and Gavitte is hillarious.

James-Paul Cummings: Freshman bio with Doltar, it was fun, carefree, and I turned into a Bio genius because of that guy.

Ivette Dailey-Deaton: Kristen Wallace’s 2nd period sophomore year English class. Shout out to Navi, Spurlock, Stemler, Alvord, and Kennewell. Cheyenne Shelby Daniels: Freshman Biology class because it was fun.

Alexandra DeMont: Mrs. Berten, because she is always smiling and in a good mood.

Benjamin H K Doi: Mr. Henderson because of his caring attitude for teaching.

Elise Downing: Mrs. Brown because of third year seminar.

Alexis Drenner: Japanese because you can start a really random conversation that takes up half the class period.

Michael Dunn-Bernstein: Mr. Gavitte’s philosophy, because he’s the homie!

Leo Dworkin: AP Biology with Mr. Doltar, because I am going to persue a career utilizing concepts we learned in his class.

Ian Earle: PSU World Civ with Don Gavitte. Funniest real educational experience ever.

Nathan Edward Rogers: Mr. Henderson and all of his two jokes.

William Eisemann: Doree Jarboe, she taught me to sing, showed me that I have talent and opened my eyes to the world of human creativity.

Chelsea Elzinga: Art History because Judi and her slide projectors are amazing.

Thomas Emard: Mr. Peterson. He’s a good teacher, makes learning fun, and has the coolest stories.

Cooper Owen Emmons: Mr. Alvord, because he’s such a boss.

Kelly Engle: Trisha Todd: too awesome for all the possums!

Claira Fambrough: Mr. Zartler and Ms. Ross ‘cause they’re always down.

Lydia Pearl Folwell: Royal Blues with Katy Wagner-West. Althogh Jarboe made a huge impact on my life.

Will Ford: Strength and Conditioning because it always allowed me to stay on track mentally and physically and Mr. Brown because he has helped me get through high school all four years.

Rosalie Fordham: Mr. Doltar was one of my favorite Grant teachers. I only had him freshman year, but he really made biology fun and interesting. I am sad he is retiring.

Maggie Forness: Trisha Todd for all the embarassment she put me through and Debbie for an amazing past four years.

Henry Fortier: Geometry with Mr. Tate because Halden is ridiculous and the bird calls.

Alexander Leland Wesley Freeman: Barron because he is just awesome.

Kelsey Frost: Ms. Todd for givingme a class to always look forward to and forcing me to let everything go and just be.

Amy Garrett: Ms. Shea because she’s a GOOD teacher and Mr. Zartler because he’s so sassy.

Stephanie Gaylord: Mr. Street is my favorite teacher because of his fun personality.

Madison Genovese: Royal Blues was defi nitely my favorite class because of all the amazing people I met.

Max Graves: Eh…is that a trick question?

Alisha Green: Mr. Hollands because of his great jokes and cool salmon sunglasses. Mr. Marron for challenging me to do my best.

Justis Hall: Mrs. Anderson because she really dedicated her time to make sure you understood every math problem, and may I add 4th and 6th period was crazy!!!

Nico Hall: Bob Doltar- just look at him and try to resist his charm.

Ryan Halverson: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Spurlock, her class is one class I actually look forward to each day.

Rebecca Harburg: Mr. Golden/ freshman English for essay coherence; Mr. Gavitte/ Philosophy for opening my mind; Mr. Doltar/ AP Biology for allele exchange to the sound of Marvin Gaye; and Dr. Dreyer for his dialect and tea parties.

Kaylin Harder: Ms. Navi-- because I’m your favorite, and you always made math fun!!

Amelia Harris: Spanish 4th year with Kelso because we read morbid spanish stories all year long.

Rachel Henrich: Peterson’s English due to the fact he always has to  play devil’s advocate and harass his students.

Hanna Hill: Anderson for snacks and wisdom.

Janelle Hill: Mr. Alvord. Because he is a scrub.

Halden Hoodenpyl: Teacher: Dr. Dreyer-Show me someone who doesn’t like him. Class: 1st Year Latin

Maddy Hubbard: Mr. Wilson for  allowing Wednesday pizza parties in AP Chemistry, and for fi nally telling the Homecoming story.

Ryan Hunt: Hollands’ physics class because Hollands is awesome and we got to watch Mythbusters.

Amber Hurst: Mr. Wilson- Chemistry. He had a great way of breaking things down and a great personality to match his teaching style. Plus, he’s just an overalldown to earth person.

Tristan Irving: Mr. Peterson's Afro-American Lit.-The conversations in this class were deep. Mr. Henderson Gov.- nothing is more interesting than learning about everything Bush did wrong.

Korrena Jennings: Mr. Andersonhe puts a lot of time and effort into his students. Their knowledge isn’t all that is important to him.

Cari Johnson: Anderson- Philosophy, Religion and ethics because of rediculous discussions.

Saul Jones: Kabza or Gavitte

Walker Jones: Mrs. Veltman because her class the most fun, Mr. Dreyer because he’s so wise, and Mr. Lickey because he’s smart.

Allison Joyner: Wilson for the tiedye. Dreyer for dessert and tea.

Grant Kelly: Henderson. He is the only person who can enjoy having a difficult class. He made the best out of it and it was hilarious.

Annie Kersting: Ms. Pamela Brown- for being a lasting inspiration and encouragement. Ms. Herrington- for being incredibly supportive and kind. Mr. Hollands- for being hilarious. Ms. Rep for being a visionary. Ms. Naomi Brown for being my mentor.

Cameron Kiyokawa: Mr. Chatard, because he is just the coolest person on earth.

Kendra Klag: Mr. Marron, Mr. Wilson b/c chemistry rocks! Gavin James Knittle: Dr. Dreyer has been my most nurturing and enthusiastic teacher and I was lucky enough to have him for two years.

Sarah Knudsen: Gavitte because of his random comments

Ursula Koelling: ALL because none of them failed me. But especially my lovely English, Theater, French, and Art teachers because they nourished my creativity and made learning exciting. Thank you.

Christopher Kopet: Mrs. Jarboe/ Mrs. Wagner-West with Royal Blues.

Lauren Amanda Brigette Laband: Alvord! Because he is so damn hot.

Maxwell Levy: Mrs. Berten, ‘Nuff said

Brise Lively: Sophomore English Dr. Dreyer because he is the cutty.

Edward Louie: Mr. Wilson because he is good at life Victoria

Lawan Luttman: Mr.Street (old man Street). He is a hilarious man, great coach and easy to make fun.

Alicia Lyford: Yearbook with Winny- he’s ridiculous, and Street for teaching me bird calls.

Alex MacLeod: Ms. Shea, the nicest person I know. Mr. Doltar, a genius and an overall sane human being. Mr. Marron, explained the world to me.

Amy Marsha: Mr. Street because he recognizes my mad TA-ing skills, even with senioritis.

Alice McAdams: Street for the philosophy, Warfi eld for the grammar lessons, Dreyer for the dramatic readings, and Judy for being wonderful. Sr. Kelso for miming vocab words, dancing, las adivinansas, and sagging his pants.

Melissa McCrary: Dreyer because he had a tea party for all his seniors.

Allyson McDonough: Yearbook because of nicknames, missing deadlines, Yearbook BFFs, and way too many awkward moments.

Michael McGrew: Alvord, he has the most relaxed class and he was on the bench in the state fi nal with us.

Maddy McKallip: Dreyer, Hollanas, DeVry, Alvord.

Jeremy McKinley: Ms. Berte, Mr. Kabza, Mr. Henderson, and Ms. Cooper. Just because they are awesome.

Stephanie Meada: Dr. Dreyer, Mrs. Navi, Mr. Williams and G, because every great teacher is a little crazy.

Sarah Medley: Third year Spanish and Art for the conversations, Photo for the fun, and Yearbook for the experience.

Brynn Mende: Mr. Devry! He was always so friendly and he’s hilarious.

Hannah Miller: Nancy Galvin (ISM Secretary) is my favorite teacher a.k.a. 2nd mom! Work it Nanc! Heyyy!

Amy Mitchell: Mr. Marron because he is the only science teacher to get me to enjoy science

Joanna Morris: Judi because she is God!

Areanna Sahara Morrow: Mr. Henderson, government/economics…Have you seen him?!

Reana Marie Mott: PE freshman year with Griffen. Areanna and I would always get into some kind of trouble together

Hadley Mowe: Dr. Dreyer for endless amounts of guidance, encouragement, and tea, and Mr. Tucker for expertly leading me through Mathland.

Miles Verne Multon: Mr. Peterson for making junior year English hilarious and engaging. Mr. Street for giving me the opportunity to get out into the world outside high school, and Mr. Anderson for all the life lessons.

Colleen Murphy: Mr. Peterson for Junior English. He taught us more about life.

Billy Nicol: Anderson’s Philosophy class. We had an entire unit dedicated to The Matrix.

Erin O’Brien: Mr. Lickey because he has a cannon!

Evan O’Kelly: Dreyer, Gavitte, and Doltar, for endless knowledge about everything, Norick and Kabza for keeping my head on straight.

Hannah Olson: Ms. Todd

Ellen Osborne: Judi, Hollands, and Pallier for their wisedom, support and understanding.

Adrian Parish: Mr. Cameron, but best class was philosophy with Mr. Anderson sophomore year.

Daunte Paschal, II: Mrs. Shea is my favorite teacher because she was always fair and she’s really nice.

Hailey August Paulson: Navi-Because I know I was secretly her favorite and she loved every single
one of my outfits

Rebeccah Penwell: Judi’s 5th period photography class.

Kristen Perow: Ms. Warfi eld, because it was my first class that required me to think and accel.

Molly Pettit: Mr. Holland’s physics class junior year, and the culture shock I experienced in geometry.

Tiffany Pillette: I will always remember Mrs. Anderson’s freshman math class. Classroom full of the homies and the drama, Chi-A!

Rhys Pinkley: Art class because I get ispired by the trees.

Curtina Pittman: Ms. Shea because we are both short and I can relate to her.

Erin Place: Judi, because she has been very infl uential on my photography skills and has inspired me to continue on in photography in the future.

Alauno Porter: Mr. Alvord, because he is always funny and relatable, and willing to talk about anything to anyone.

Maddie Potter: Judi because her class feels like a home and she inspires me.

Abby Powers: Junior year spanish class with Mrs. Stemler. Best class of my life.

William Prahl: Newspaper with Leem-Leem, because I love long periods of inactivity punctuated by brief periods of panic.

Hannah Rapp: Mr. Zartler (Z-Z Top) for years of physical abuse, Brick Street for making fun of me relentlessly, and Leeman for being a constant.

Louie Reckford: Double late arrival senior year.

Claire Reed-Dustin: Mr. Tucker, Calculus AB+BC because I have never laughed so hard in math class.

Shaylee Rhodes: Judi, the photo teacher because she has taught me so much.

Sean Riley: Mr. Leeman and Mr. Gavitte for making their sujects relevant and entertaining.

Rex Rolle: Gavitte, World Civ. It challenged me, was interesting, and got me into history.

Marta Schenck: Judi and Trisha are awesome.

Margaret Schmming: Chemistry- because of Tasha and matches.

Luke Severn: Dreyer, Gavitte, Leeman, Golden, just good teachers, made me think.

Ranjan Shakya: Dr. Dreyer, because he taught me how to write in real English.

Miaya Shambry: Doree Jarboe. The best choir teacher of all time. I learned so much from her.

Lukas Shaw: Gavitte because he’s super savage, Euro, World Civ, and Gov were epic classes.

Michiaki Shimazaki: Doug Winn-always motivated me to excell at the one thing I was good at. Thanks to my biggest fan!

Danielle Sims: Ms. Todd’s theater class freshman year…hilarious.

Nekia Smith: Mrs. Shea. My favorite class was U.S. history.

Rose Snyder: Madame Pallier always talked to me like I was an adult and took interest in me. And Alvord because he will never be more mature than a senior.

Abramushka Sokolov: Ms. Ayala. She taught me how to skin a beetroot for beetroot borsch

Julia Stafford: G’s AP Euro Trevor Steinberg: Mr. Street! Best teacher of all time, take his class.

Olin Stickler: AP U.S. History with Mr. Anderson. The difficulty variety of activities, hilarious jokes, and excellent students made this class one I could look forward to each day.

Natasha Stockem: Judi, because she is God. Mr. Anderson and Mr. Peterson because I learned so much about life from them.

Michael Stoeger: Mrs. Spurlock/ Mr. Dreyer. Both are extremely funny and supportive of your goals in and out of class.

Jana Stone: Mrs. Veltman, por que ere la mejor maestra del mundo.

Janet Stronach: DeVry just because he’s awesome

Tim Suchecki: Mr. Budge, Mr. Gavitte, Dr. Dreyer, because they all taught me things.
